Assistant Principal's Report
Mitch Harris
What an incredible start to the school year we have had. It has been pleasing to see students and staff beginning to set meaningful learning goals and commence the routines of effective classrooms.
In 2024 we have adopted the values of Respect, Kindness and Confidence. Staff are actively role modelling these values every day. In Homegroup students will be familiarising themselves with the values, how they look at school and ways to promote them with others.
Immunisations
Students in Year 7 & 10 will have received information about immunisations. Please ensure that appropriate forms are completed and that any student who is not participating in the immunisation program is communicated to the school office. There is a new booking system - more details can be found under the immunisations section of the newsletter.
Camps
Camps, sports and excursion form an important part of the schools' extra-curricular program. Staff carefully select opportunities to enhance the curriculum delivered in classes. If parents/guardians would like to give feedback on a camp offering, please feel free to contact Mitch Harris – Assistant Principal.
Attendance
Attendance at school is important, it creates connections and provides students a sequence in their learning. The school day commences at 9am and the last class finishes at 3:20pm, all students are required to be at school on time and attending classes. If, however, students can’t attend school please contact the school office to ensure that we can correctly record their attendance. If a student needs support or has concerns, please be sure to contact the Homegroup teacher or Student Engagement Leader to work towards addressing these concerns.
