Senior School Camp
Preparations are underway for the 2024 Senior School Camp. Camp this year will be at the CYC The Island Camp at Phillip Island. This is scheduled for Monday 13th - Wednesday 15th May 2024. Camp is a great experience for students' team building skills and personal and social capabilities of the Victorian Curriculum to be developed. As such, we regard this compulsory event to be a worthwhile experience for all students in Year 5 and 6.
Please ensure ALL camp consent letters have been completed via PAM by 26th April 2024.
If you have any questions or information to share about your child before this date, please see you child's classroom teacher or myself.
Evacuation Drill
At St Therese's, we place the safety of our students as our number one priority. As such, we conduct Evacuation and Lockdown Drills every term to ensure all of our emergency management procedures are understood and are able to be implemented efficiently and effectively. It is also an opportunity for our staff to discuss the purpose of these drills with the students and to minimise any anxiety or concerns the students may have and to mitigate risk.
We pride ourselves in being well prepared and pro-active in the area of Emergency Management and Child Safety. These drills are also a diocesan compliance requirement to ensure all our processes are in place.
Consequently, I would like to take this opporuntity in informing you that we are extending our evacuation processes to an offsite evacuation drill that will take place on Wednesday 1st May 2024. The offisite assembly point that we will be utilising is Merinda Park Community Centre.
