Volunteer Opportunities

Worm Farm with Miss Phoebe

Our New Worm Farms

Dear families,

As a part of my studies in my final year of my Early Childhood Education at university, I am required to take leadership in running a project in a prior to school setting. I am in the process of completing this at Curiosity and will be implementing a functional worm farm alongside the educators and children. Having a worm farm at Curiosity poses many benefits as it will compliment our established Community Garden and will foster a greater sense of understanding of the environment and sustainability for your children.

To construct the worm farms and get them up and running, we were hoping for some support in this process. If you are volunteer trained, and available on Tuesday 21st of May we would love your help! Please reply to the Storypark post, or feel free to email me at: phoebe.armitage@gspv.sa.edu.au if you are willing to help.

Once our worm farm is up and running, we look forward to collaborating with you to bring in food scraps for our worms to eat!

If you are not volunteer trained and want to help out in the future, our volunteer training process is easy and once you have completed it, it allows you to volunteer all through your child’s school years!

We look forward to building connections with our community as we launch our worm farm!
