Pentecost Sunday
This Sunday, 19th of May, is Pentecost Sunday. Pentecost marks the end of the Easter season for Christians and commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other early followers of Jesus. In the Christian tradition, this event represents the birth of the early church. At the first Pentecost, the early Christian Community came to life, they were no longer afraid, they no longer saw the need to live behind locked doors. The Spirit came into their hearts.
Next Tuesday, 21st of May 3/4 O will be leading a Mass with the theme of Pentecost to the ¾ Students.
Sacramental Night
This week, Holy Trinity Parish Schools brought families together for a special Catholic Identity Sacramental Parent Evening. Led by Denise Arnel, an experienced speaker known for her ability to bridge Scripture and the Sacraments, the evening catered to families whose children are preparing for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, or Confirmation.
Denise emphasised the crucial role parents play. She reminded them that they are the first teachers of faith for their children, and encouraged them to model their own faith in everyday situations. Her presentation was engaging, featuring creative storytelling with the use of art to further understand the Scripture stories that relate to the Sacraments.
We are looking forward to our students celebrating their sacraments this year on the following dates.
- Sacrament of Confirmation (Year 6): Wednesday 19th June at 7:00 pm
- Sacrament of Eucharist (Year 4): Sunday 11th August at 10:00 am (Sunday Parish Mass)
- Sacrament of Reconciliation (Year 3): Thursday 24th October at 9:15am.
