Permanent Positions: 

Shine Bright are now recruiting for Charlton Early Years Centre in our long day care service. We have multiple part time vacancies that we are looking to fill with passionate early years professionals.

  • Certificate III and Diploma Educators (up to 27 hours available).
  • Breaks Cover (9.00am -3.00pm) up to 4 days per week.
  • After School Care (Cert 3 or Diploma) 1.30pm-5.00pm Monday to Wednesday)
  • Trainee 38 hours per week

We currently have an opportunity for a trainee to learn as they earn at our beautiful new long day care service in Charlton. Trainees are supported to learn their craft while working as part of a dedicated early years team; and engage actively with the learning material, as they work towards gaining a recognised Cert III qualification in early childhood education.

Shine Bright EYM is one of Central & Northern Victoria’s leading not for profit community based early year’s education providers. 

 

The Kitchen Hand role supports the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and assists in preparing nutritious and delicious meals and snacks on-site. Working in a purpose-built kitchen, duties include menu planning, preparation and cooking, and cleaning in an environment where food safety and WHS are paramount. The role involves cooking for children aged 0 to 6 in an Early Years Centre. 

 

Position details: Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 15 hours per week, with all hours worked as day shifts with no weekends or evenings.

 

Monday-Friday 9.30am- 12.30pm (Flexibility available). 

The role would suit those with school aged children as the hours of work can be arranged to be ‘school friendly’.  

 

Kitchen Hand is required to work autonomously and will be responsible for all kitchen duties including but not limited to meal planning and preparation, cooking, cleaning and record keeping as per the Food Safety Plan. With remote support where required by a Kitchen Supervisor (Bendigo based).

 

The capacity to build and maintain strong professional relationships and respectful partnerships both internally and externally is essential to this role, as well as the ability to work in a team environment or autonomously.
