This week we showcase some amazing learning in the 1/2 space.
We have been engaging with the text “Mangia, Mangia!” It is an interactive text so the children have been joining in with the reading.
The little boy in the story only wants to eat ‘pane e nutella’ and must wait until the last course for it to be served to him.
It highlights the many courses in a typical Italian meal as well as exposing the children to the repetitive language. They are learning the language of the 6 course meal. The children have learnt the chant and have been acting some small parts of the story.
Enjoy reading the story Mangia mangia with your children. They have thoroughly enjoyed being immersed in the story, particularly the ending and I’m sure they look forward to sharing it with their family.
