Dolphin Research Institute (DRI)

We had our DRI students out at Rye Primary School where they undertook their second workshop as Dolphin Research Ambassadors with three other schools. They worked with their peers to put together short  performances which they will now deliver to Sorrento Kindergarten and our prep classes.

World Bee Day           Wednesday 22nd May

World Bee day will be celebrated on Wednesday 22nd at school

Year 1 / 2 students will have the Author Toni D’Alia, who recently had her book published “Bees Are Our Friends”. Some amazing mums will also be baking Honey Joys.

Thank you to those families who have purchased tea towels for World Bee Day.  These are a wonderful keepsake for our parents and students and made from beautiful quality linen. Tea towels are now available from the school office. A big thank you to Louise for coordinating the sale of these.

Nude Food

We are seeing some amazing Nude Food lunches that our students are bringing to school. Thank you to those families who are looking to reduce their single use plastics and looking after the environment.

Recycling

Take a look at the new recycling station situated at the Sorrento Community Centre

You can drop off cables, videos, cassettes and cases, fluorescent light tubes, mobile phones, x-rays, and light globes. Save on petrol and drop off local.

We are still collecting bread tags here at school. Please drop them off in the art room.
