Lamont Book Fair

Dear Parents/Guardians and Families,

Reading for pleasure inside and outside of school has real and long lasting benefits. It unlocks the power of information and imagination, increases literacy skills, and helps children discover who they are, as well as the wider world around them.

To assist in promoting the enjoyment of reading, during this upcoming Education Week, Mitcham Primary School will be hosting a Lamont Book Fair from Monday 13 May until Friday 17 May, in our school Library.

The Book Fair brings to us a variety of books that are sure to appeal to students from all year levels. Students will be given the opportunity to view these books and fill out a Wish List in the Library during a scheduled time. 

If you are unable to make it to our fair you can return your child’s Wish List to school in a clearly labelled envelope with the correct cash amount, or including credit card details. Both ordered and backordered books will be delivered to your child’s classroom throughout the duration of the fair, or in the week or two following its departure.The dates that the Book Fair will be open for sales are listed below:

The Book Fair presents a wonderful reading celebration, providing your family the perfect opportunity to select books together, as well as assisting our Library in updating resources across the curriculum. We hope you can join us at our Lamont Book Fair to help us celebrate reading with our students and the school community.
