NAPLAN 2025
In March 2025, students from Years 5, 7 and 9 sat NAPLAN tests. The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) will publish the national results in August and then we will have an understanding of how students performed compared to others.
Individual student reports were distributed this week and the College is very proud of the efforts of each student. Each of the cohorts have placed high in the “Strong” band with many students in the "Exceeding" range. We are analysing the data to determine what priority areas need to be addressed for each of the groups, combining this information with our Academic Assessment Services and internal assessment data.
The data we have received from these tests direct us to prioritise the literacy and numeracy development of students. We continue to implement a number of strategies to improve student achievement in numeracy, reading and writing.
Please feel free to contact the College if you have any questions or require additional information about the NAPLAN results and process.
Academic Annexe
The College continues to support all students through the Academic Annexe and Oldboy Tutors. The library has been an active space with many Year 12 students taking the opportunity to attend and prepare for their upcoming exams.
The Academic Annexe has extended opening hours in the first two weeks of Term 3 with a pizza dinner provided to Year 12 students who attend. We encourage all students to take up this opportunity.
