Gangwon International Youth Forum

It was a great opportunity for us to participate in the Gangwon International Youth Forum with all the other schools around the world. It was very fun and a great experience for us.

The youth forum was about talking with the students overseas and sharing your cultures, experiences and your opinion on some of the issues around the world. This time with the main topic of “Peace and Human rights" the sub-topics were “Do war video games and movies increase violence or promote peace?” and “Should schools punish students for what they post on social media?”. 

In the meeting we introduced ourselves and did some fun quizzes about our countries’ cultures. Afterwards we were separated with 2-3 schools per group, and put into breakrooms to talk about the sub-topics. The first one was right after the introductions and quizzes and the second one after taking an hour break. In the breakout rooms we got to share all our opinions on the topics then chat to the other school about the differences and similarities between our schools and education systems.
