From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 3, Week 2

Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

Term 3 has got off to a flying start and all students have settled in and working hard. Many activities will be occurring in the coming weeks, so we ask that you look to our school calendar for all events that are taking place.  Please also check your children's bags for notes coming home.

 

Over & Above "C" Award Rewards Afternoon

Last Friday, our students who were recipients of the “C” award last term received their reward which was time at the local park.  All students who attended had a great time. Congratulations again to those students who have achieved this award.

 

Turn Up Awards

Congratulations to our Turn Up Award winners for Week 1.  You will receive a voucher to use at the school canteen.

Quirindi High School Taster Day

Our Yr 5 and Yr 6 students enjoyed a Taster Day at Quirindi High School yesterday.  These days give our students a chance to experience High School life before they move on to high school. Thank you to Quirindi High School for inviting our students and giving them an enjoyable experience.

 

Quirindi Zone Athletics Carnival

We wish all of our students competing in the Quirindi Zone Athletics Carnival the best of luck today.  We look forward to hearing the results of the day.

 

Small Schools Spelling Bee - Blackville PS

For those students attending the Small Schools Spelling Bee at Blackville Public School, could you please ensure your permission note and lunch order note are returned to the school office by tomorrow.

 

4/5/6W Peter/Wendy Excursion - 

Quirindi Royal Theatre

4/5/6W class have been invited by Quirindi High School to watch their matinee performance of the theatrical production of "Peter/Wendy" at the Quirindi Royal Theatre tomorrow.  Thank you again Quirindi High for inviting us.  We look forward to hearing our students' experiences when they return tomorrow.

 

Education Week

From Monday, 4th to Friday 8th August (Week 3) we will be celebrating all things Public Education in Education Week. This year's theme is "Ignite Your Potential".  Our school will be involved in many activities throughout the week such as the Small Schools Spelling Bee at Blackville, Small Schools Soccer Knockout at Barraba and a Chess Competition at Gunnedah.   An open day for Education Week for Werris Creek Public School will be held on Friday, 15th August 2025 (Week 4) due to other commitments in Week 3.

 

National Science Week

To mark National Science Week, our students will be conducting some Science experiments at our Open Day on Friday, 15th August.  More information to come.
