Grade One / Two

Class Information

We hope you have all had an enjoyable weekend and had the opportunity to reflect with your children on how FABULOUS our school production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ was! The students put in a stellar performance and should be very proud of themselves!

GRADE 1 & 2 UPDATE

Year 1

In Literacy: learning about the digraphs ‘aw’ as in claw and ‘au’ as in autumn.
In Numeracy: learning how to measure the length of shapes and objects using informal units.

Year 2

In Literacy: learning how to find the main idea within a text and summarise what we have learnt, practice spelling words with the trigraphs eer/ear/air/are/ear, as well as compound words. Students will continue learning about prepositions and be introduced to conjunctions.
In Numeracy: learning about multiplication and division, how quantities can be combined and separated to form new quantities.

F-2 INCURSION - WEEK 7

On Monday 1st of September, the Foundation to Grade two students will be participating in an incursion at school around the concept of this term's subject focus which is Science.

Students will have the opportunity to experience the following activities throughout the day:

Wild Action Zoo (Australian animals)
Discovery Science and Technology Centre
Kelly Sports

Students can wear their sports uniform on this day and bring their normal packed recess and lunch.
