Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden 2025
Over the past two weeks, our kitchen and garden spaces have been buzzing with activity!
We recently said a fond farewell to 3/4D, who have spent the past seven weeks diving headfirst into the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. Congratulations, 3/4D, on your enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity! On their final day, students celebrated in style by making delicious vegetarian pizzas and baking mouth-watering rhubarb muffins with freshly harvested stalks from our very own garden.
Last week, we rolled out the welcome mat for 3/4N, who joined the program with energy and smiles all around. Their first menu was a feast of flavours, featuring cherry tomato, bocconcini and basil bruschetta, tzatziki dip, Greek salad, and spaghetti with spinach and garlic. It was wonderful to see students finding their way around the kitchen, learning where ingredients and utensils live, and—most importantly—working together to bring these recipes to life.
A Huge Thank You to Our Superstar Volunteers
We are deeply grateful to our volunteers who generously give their time, patience, and encouragement. Your support helps our students grow in confidence and skills each week. Recently, we’ve been lucky to have Frank (Louis’s Dad) from 3/4D join us—thank you for your warmth, energy, and enthusiasm for the program!
We’d love to see more parents from 3/4N join us in the kitchen! The session runs on Tuesdays at 11:40am—your help truly makes a world of difference.
We look forward to many more garden-fresh harvests and delicious dishes in the weeks ahead.
Arigatou!

Aria: Today I made tomato, basil and bocconcini Bruschetta.
Ingredients: cherry tomatoes🍅, basil, garlic, olive oil, Bruschetta, salt🧂, pepper and bread.🍞
How to make it step by step
First wash the tomatoes, then cut it into quarters and leave it aside in a bowl. Next wash the basil, dice it and put it in the bowl with the tomatoes.
Then crush the garlic in a bowl of olive oil and leave that aside. Now put the bread in the oven for 5-8 minutes. While the breads in the oven get some bruschetta and dice it. After get the bread out of the oven and paste the olive oil and garlic on the bread. Finally put the cherry tomatoes, basil and bruschetta on the bread and in the oven for about 8 minutes. And get it out of the oven and finally put salt and pepper on the bread.
Now you have your very own tomato, basil and bocconcini Bruschetta.
