Welcome back to Term 3 from the Welfare Team

Welcome back to Term 3! We hope the break has been a time of rest, renewal and reflection for you and your families. As we return to our vibrant College grounds, we are reminded of the strength of our community and the shared journey we walk together as Virgilian men.

This term brings new opportunities to grow in learning, faith, service and connection. We look forward to continuing to foster an environment where every student is known, valued and supported, and where the values of justice, compassion and excellence remain at the heart of all we do.

As we move into the second half of the year, we do so with renewed energy, a clear sense of purpose and a strong commitment to walking with each other – as educators, as learners, and as members of our wider community.

Extended Pastoral Care Program

Our Extended Pastoral Care Program continues this term with our students engaging in a wide range of mental health and wellbeing topics to further strengthen their resilience and capacity. Our first half of the term is packed in with major whole-college events, assemblies and awards.

Pulse – Wellbeing Application

Our wellbeing application, Pulse, continues to be a tool that our educators can use to further understand the complexities of student mental health and wellbeing. Our students have been checking in each week during pastoral care with a range of questions asked to gauge their wellbeing. As the college further grows with assistance of Pulse, we encourage parents and carers to check-in with their children regularly and continue to support them in all aspects of their schooling and life.

Below is an example of our Gratitude System, where all staff and students can send a heartfelt message of thanks, kindness or recognition. Thank you to Head of House, William Geeves, for sending through some kindness!
