Building Resilience Together
How Our Teachers Are Supporting Your Child’s Wellbeing
Together, we are committed to nurturing not just your child’s academic success, but also their emotional wellbeing. This is why our teachers participated in the Resilience Project’s 'Embedding TRP' Professional Learning at our staff forum on Wednesday afternoon.
The 'Embedding TRP' Professional Learning is about integrating the program’s wellbeing principles and practices into the everyday teaching and culture of a school. It means teachers don’t just attend a one-off training - they actively use the knowledge, strategies, and language from the Resilience Project (like Gratitude, Empathy, and Mindfulness) regularly with their students and colleagues through day-to-day practice.
Together, teachers explored the 'why' behind the program, looking into practical strategies to implement within their classrooms. This means your child benefits from consistent, ongoing support rather than isolated lessons. It also helps our school to ensure we are providing a safe, nurturing place for every student every day.
Supporting your child’s mental health is a team effort, between home, school, and community. By embedding these resilience-building practices, we’re creating a shared language around wellbeing that helps everyone understand and support our kids better.
Thank you for partnering with us to help your child grow not just academically, but as a confident, resilient young person ready to take on life’s challenges. We are all in this together.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support. Take care and have a lovely, restful weekend.
