Supporting student wellbeing is at the heart of helping young people learn, grow, and thrive. When students feel safe, connected, and confident, they’re far more able to engage in their learning and build the skills they need for life. Wellbeing isn’t just about feeling happy all the time; it’s about helping students develop resilience, healthy relationships, emotional awareness, and a sense of belonging at school and at home.

In our school community, we see wellbeing as a shared partnership between teachers, families, and students. By working together, we can create consistent messages, supportive environments, and opportunities for students to build strong social and emotional foundations.
Throughout the year, we will be focusing on explicit teaching of the Victorian Curriculum Capabilities. This learning is supported in our school by the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) resource. Our aim is to equip students with practical tools they can use every day, whilst also keeping parents informed and involved.
Family support, communication, and engagement make a meaningful difference. We look forward to partnering with you to ensure every student feels valued, supported, and ready to succeed.

This year, our school is continuing its work with the Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS) initiative. MHiPS helps us strengthen the way we support every child’s social, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
Wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. By focusing on early intervention and building strong foundations, we’re helping students develop resilience, confidence, and the skills they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
