Cultural Celebration Afternoon

Our annual 'Harmony' Cultural Celebration afternoon is on Tuesday 31st March.

This will be after  Ramadan and therefore our whole school community can participate.

An incursion will be on COMPASS costing $10, soon, for your children to learn a cultural dance by the company Footsteps. This dance will be showcased on Tuesday 31st March from 2.30-3.15pm where this will be an assembly type production.

Please bring along your own deck chair to sit comfortably to watch our performances. Umbrellas also for sun protection.

If there are any families or individuals who could perform their own cultural dance for our event, please contact myself to discuss further.

Last year we had Aarya’s mum, Tirtha, perform a dance with myself joining in. This was an amazing experience for myself, but it was also amazing for our community to see a dance from Pakistan.

From 3.15-4.30pm we will be holding a picnic afternoon where buy you can buy items from a few food trucks or bring your own snacks to share with your family.

Dimi will be arranging some staff with setting up different games from different cultures for you to participate in.

Once you participate in a game you will get a raffle ticket to win a much bigger family prize : Gravity Worx voucher for $160.00 - a free family fun day out!

Further details will continue to come to remind you of this celebration.

Maintenance

We have had a great deal of maintenance completed so far this year:

  • Prep classrooms have new carpet - they look amazing!
  • 1/2 C classroom door has been replaced.
  • Year 3-6 Portable toilet door has now been fixed
  • Gardens been cleaned up
  • tree re-planted that was blown out of the ground

Our goal this year if we have the necessary fund is to continue to upgrade carpets across the school.

Master Plan for Facilities

We are continuing to seek support from government to assist with upgrading many of our environment facilities. Our Master Plan was sent in last year at the end of August, many thansk to our two parent architects who did all the major work, and we are still waiting on 'where we are at!'

School Council members are now looking into determining a staged approach of these building works to help with our process.

We have a great culture here at PVNPS and our learning and wellbeing is developing students.

We just need some additional 'huge' monies for our gym, shelter, ashalt, oval, and playgrounds, etc....

We may need your parent support in time to come to get our voices to be heard.

Stay tuned for further updates.
