Welcome back to Term 1! It has been wonderful to see our children return with big smiles, familiar faces and lots of excitement as we start a brand-new school year together. Week 1 was full of fun, creativity and connection as we eased back into routines and reconnected after what was a truly fantastic Summer Holiday program.

We kicked off the term with two exciting pupil-free days, each offering a unique theme and plenty of engaging experiences. Our first pupil-free day, “School’s In”, focused on easing children back into a school mindset in a fun and relaxed way. Children enjoyed back-to-school themed activities that encouraged creativity, confidence and collaboration while reconnecting with friends and educators. The following pupil-free day, “Under the Stars”, sparked curiosity and imagination as we explored space and planets. Children took part in space-inspired creative experiences and cooking activities, learning while having lots of fun as they travelled through the galaxy with us.

When school officially returned, we enjoyed a smooth and happy transition back into our regular routines. Our Breakfast Club was a big hit, with children enjoying freshly made banana bread muffins and fluffy pancakes to start their day. In the afternoons, Snack Squad kept everyone fueled with tasty veggie quiches and noodles, which were enjoyed after a busy day of learning and play.

Creativity was flowing throughout the week as children took part in a range of engaging activities. They loved making their own books, experimenting with slime, designing zoo masks, and creating mini mosaic collages, all of which encouraged imagination, fine motor skills and self-expression.

Our outdoor spaces were full of energy as children participated in a variety of physical activities, including footy, cricket, Floor Is Lava on the playground, and group games such as Octopus and Giants’ Treasure. These activities supported teamwork, active play and lots of laughter as children reconnected with peers.

Summer Holiday Program

Our Summer Holiday program was a vibrant and engaging period, offering children a wide range of experiences that supported social connection, confidence and fun. Highlights included exciting excursions to the cinemas to watch Zootopia 2, Bounce, and the Inflatable Fun Park, which provided opportunities for active play and shared experiences with peers.

Children also participated in a variety of engaging incursions and in-house activities, including candle-making workshops, Ben & Jerry’s sundae stations, and relaxed outdoor picnics. On warmer days, children enjoyed water play and water fights, helping them stay cool while encouraging teamwork and laughter. Overall, the holiday program created a positive, inclusive environment where children could explore new interests, build friendships and create lasting memories before transitioning back into the school term.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
