Principal's Message

Term 1 Week 2                                                                                                            6 February 2026

From the Principal

Hi Everyone,

It has been a very smooth start to the year and that is because of our wonderful staff being so well prepared, and positive partnerships formed between teachers, children and families.  We are shaping up to have a truly, brilliant year!

Last week we practiced both a Lockdown and an Emergency Evacuation.  The children and staff were incredibly safe, organised and efficient.  To see Preppies doing that in their first week of school was truly impressive!

School Sport has kicked off again and this week there were netball trials and next Monday there are swimming trials!  All the very best to all our swimmers trialling!

Congratulations to our P-3 Merit Certificate recipients for week 2!  You must be so proud of yourselves!

The children are all back and learning and I was jealous, so I am off to professional development for adults next week.

Mr Corbett, Mrs Lee and I are engaging in PD designed to assist Curriculum delivery.

Thank you Mrs Griffin, who will be in the principal whilst I am away.

In the holidays I worked closely with our amazing School’s Officer Mr Bytschewsky (Groundsman) to really clean out our school and work through our furniture and resources to audit what we have as a school - it was a big job.

Thankfully nothing is going to waste and so; in partnering with Rotary, we are sending old resources and furniture to New Guinea where it is needed and appreciated.

Thank you to Rotary, they do incredible things for others.

Thank you to all of you who attended our Parent Information afternoons, it was great to see you there.

Here is a link to our Parent Handbook on our website that I referenced.
