Wellbeing Week!
Welcome back! We have had an amazing week full of great wellbeing lessons. The 1/2 students have shown excellent resilience as they transitioned into their new classroom and have already begun developing learning goals for term 1.
Acknowledgement of Country
This week, we took the opportunity to read some indigenous stories out in our school yard, which we then followed up with creating our own Acknowledgement of Country for our 1/2 classroom. The students were very proud of their contribution to this task and took great care in their work!
PBL
Over the wellbeing week, we took the opportunity to discuss expectations we have for this year as a class, creating team promises to each other. This has set up our room beautifully, making all students feel safe and valued! We spoke about our personal bubble and how we can respect each other's boundaries.
Tower Building Tournament
In small teams, our students had a very special task to plan and create towers that met a very important criteria. Each group needed to work well together as a team, showing positive language, and being creative. We had the following awards presented at the end of the lesson:
Tallest Tower - Zander, Ed, Charlee, Gabby & Jackson
Strongest tower - Laurie, Isla & Harry
Most creative tower - Coco, Jem, Laylah, Joey & Jessica
Most supportive team - Brax, Makenzie, Eddie, Mason & Lexie
