Reading: Aim to read for 15 minutes per night.
Inquiry: As we deep dive into our new unit of inquiry, discuss with your family members what systems of classification you use – how are things in your house organised? How do you decide who does what chore?
Mathematics: Continue to revise your multiplication facts.
You may like to use your timetables app on your iPad for this.
Year 3: 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 10s
Year 4: all facts - start with those that you are least confident with.
You can also create flash cards with unknown facts to practice with.

Literacy:
Spelling: This week, Year 3 students are focusing on the ‘gn’ spelling. Year 4 students are concentrating on the suffix ‘ary.'

Writer’s and Reader’s Workshop:We are beginning to unpack information texts – what are the key features, what is the aim, when do we use them, and how to write them.
Mathematics: We will explore fractions and decimals on a number line.
Unit of Inquiry: We continue to deep dive into our new Unit of Inquiry, which focuses on exploring systems of classification. We will be looking at sorting, and how we decide what ‘things’ get sorted into what ‘groups’.
Special Persons Afternoon – Friday the 20th September. Please let your special person know that the event begins with a concert in the Worship Centre at 1pm! It concludes at 2:45pm.
