College News

From the Deputy
If you have had a College tour, or been in an enrolment interview, you will have heard the team speak of an "unapologetically Christian" education.
An "unapologetically Christian" education means embracing and integrating Christian principles and a biblical worldview throughout the educational experience without compromise or hesitation.
This approach centres on a worldview rooted in biblical teachings, where faith is not an optional add-on but the foundation for learning and personal development. In such an environment, both academic and moral instruction are filtered through the lens of the biblical narrative and Christian values, shaping how subjects like history, science, and literature are taught, as well as how students are encouraged to live their lives.
This type of education emphasises the development of character, encouraging students to grow in virtues such as integrity, compassion, humility, and service to others, all within the context of a relationship with God. It fosters a sense of purpose beyond personal achievement, encouraging students to use their talents to serve others and to glorify God in all they do.
By being "unapologetic," Bayside Christian College remains steadfast in its Christian identity, even in a pluralistic society. It does not shy away from openly affirming its faith, even when it runs counter-culturally to the mainstream cultural narratives. This approach seeks to prepare students not just for academic success, but for lives marked by a strong commitment to their faith and a desire to make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
It is our privilege to partner with you in Christian education.
Mrs Toni Steinbergs, Deputy Principal
