Year 10 Business: Industry & Enterprise
On the 5th September our Year 10 Business class learnt about the inside model of the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery last Thursday.
They heard from the company’s top pastry chef, as he talked to the students about the history of the business, the intricacies of employing specialist chocolatiers from Europe and the business model of their company. Students were also treated to a chocolate tasting!
Year 10 Geography
On the 3rd September our Year 10 Geography students participated in local landcare activities with the Surf Coast Shire. Our students spent the morning cutting down invasive gums to allow room for native plants to grow.
Year 10 Outdoor & Environmental Studies
Our Year 10 Outdoor & Environmental Studies have started well this semester. The students have spent time studying marine life in class and have explored their local area to see it all in action.
Some notable practical classes thus far, have been a trip to the Anglesea Mountain Bike Heathland, an uneventful fishing adventure along Spring Creek, a rock scramble along Point Adds and a hike along Urquhart Bluff.
Year 11 VET Sport & Recreation

Our Students spent the afternoon learning about bike safety and how to ride both technical and flow trails.
Year 11 Product Design & Technologies
In the last week of term 3, our year 11 Product Design and Technologies students were lucky enough to experience a hands on incursion with the amazing local artist Caroline Haw
Topics covered in the workshop:
- Gathering, storing and preparing locally available plant fibres, including permissions and the ‘reciprocal’ approach taken by many indigenous cultures.
- Study of global basket weaving methods traditional and contemporary, through samples of baskets provided for students to handle.
- Ethical considerations relating to methods of weaving.
Caroline's workshop offered an insight into how to use different plant fibres and the basis of how to develop a woven design, by making a selection of sample pieces which demonstrate differing techniques of starting a basket.
