It’s been a big seven days of camps in Junior School, with Year 1 and 2 completing an overnight camp in the Grampians last Thursday and Friday and Year 5 stepping back in time with three days in Sovereign Hill earlier this week. I’ve seen some fabulous photos from both, and I hope our youngest campers had a challenging but enriching time away.
At the other end of the school, the Year 12 cohort has now turned purposefully towards exam preparation. Their final SACs are complete, and they will begin practice exams tomorrow morning, with a trial English exam. There will be no holiday break for our Year 12s, with study during the first week, followed by VCE Revision Week in the second. I am grateful to Bek Bonnett for coordinating the return of an in-person, full-week exam preparation program and to Andrew Monk and the boarding house staff for opening in the break for the Year 12s. We have expert speakers coming in and a complete program of lectures, tutorials and workshops to ensure that students are as well prepared as they can be for exams in Term Four.
The program is open to all students; many from other schools will attend alongside our College students. If you have any family connections to students in Year 12 who might benefit from the program, further information is available here, and I encourage you to share it with them.
For the rest of the College community, I wish you a happy and restful holiday period and look forward to seeing students again when they return on Monday, 7 October.
