The Importance of Healthy Lunchboxes, Nude Food, and Being Allergy-Aware

Dear Parents,

Providing a healthy, balanced lunch is essential for your child’s energy, focus, and overall well-being throughout the school day. In addition to nutrition, we also encourage packing nude food—lunches without single-use plastics or unnecessary packaging. Additionally, it’s important to be mindful of allergies when preparing your child’s lunch. Here's why these considerations are so important:

Why Healthy Lunchboxes Matter:

  1. Boosts Concentration and Learning: Nutritious foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins help maintain steady energy levels, improving focus and concentration in class.
  2. Supports Physical Growth: A balanced diet provides the essential vitamins and nutrients children need to grow, build strong bones, and stay active.
  3. Encourages Good Eating Habits: Providing a variety of healthy options helps children develop positive attitudes towards food and makes them more likely to choose nutritious snacks in the future.

Why Nude Food is Important:

  1. Reduces Waste: Nude food reduces single-use plastics like cling wrap, chip bags, and juice boxes, helping protect the environment and reducing landfill waste.
  2. Promotes Fresh, Whole Foods: By avoiding pre-packaged snacks, you’re more likely to include fresh, whole foods, which are healthier and more nourishing for your child.
  3. Teaches Environmental Responsibility: Encouraging children to bring nude food teaches them the value of caring for the planet, fostering responsible habits that they can carry into adulthood.

Being Mindful of Allergies:

  1. Keeping Everyone Safe: Some children may have serious allergies to foods like nuts, eggs, or dairy. To help keep all students safe, please avoid packing foods that contain allergens, especially nuts.
  2. Building Awareness: By discussing food allergies with your child, you can help them understand the importance of being considerate of their classmates’ needs.
  3. Supporting a Safe Environment: Schools strive to create an inclusive and safe environment, and being mindful of allergies when packing lunchboxes contributes to this goal.

Tips for Packing a Healthy, Nude Food, and Allergy-Friendly Lunchbox:

  • Use reusable containers, beeswax wraps, or stainless steel drink bottles.
  • Include fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grain sandwiches, and protein like lean meats or allergy-friendly alternatives.
  • Opt for water instead of sugary drinks.
  • Always check food labels to ensure they are free from common allergens if required.

By packing a healthy, environmentally friendly, and allergy-aware lunch, you’re helping your child and their peers stay energized, focused, and safe at school.

Thank you for supporting these important habits!

Message from our Canteen regarding allergies:

We would like to inform our school community that while we strive to provide a variety of meal options that cater to different dietary needs, our school canteen is not 100% allergen-free. Despite our best efforts to minimize the risk of cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our food products are completely free from allergens, such as nuts, dairy, gluten, or other ingredients that may cause allergic reactions.

We strongly encourage students and parents with specific dietary concerns or severe allergies to consult with our canteen staff to understand the ingredients used in our menu items. Your safety and well-being are our top priority, and we are committed to accommodating special dietary needs wherever possible. However, we recommend that individuals with serious allergies exercise caution when selecting food from our canteen.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
