Principal's Report

Welcome back to everyone for Term 4! It’s been a little bit quiet at Box Hill North this week, with 18 of our Years 5 and 6 students in Japan with Rachel, Mie-Mie and Ainslie, and our Years 3 and 4 students at Arrabri Lodge until yesterday afternoon. We are looking forward to having all of our students back into their school routines on Monday once the Japan Crew return!

Term 4 Assemblies – 9am Fridays

As a SunSmart school, we will be moving to 9am Assemblies for Term 4, to avoid the sun’s harmful UV rays. Weather-permitting, we will hold as many assemblies outside as possible. Feel free to join us each Friday morning after dropping off your child/ren!

We hope to see you tomorrow morning!

3/4 Camp – Arrabri Lodge

What a wonderful time our Years 3 and 4 students had on Camp at Arrabri Lodge this week. From team-building activities to sleeping in bunk rooms, flying fox and giant swing, archery…to seeing their teachers with messy hair and sleepy eyes in the morning…it was quite the adventure. I was very excited to visit our happy campers on Tuesday morning for breakfast followed by some activities. The sun came out just in time for everyone to fly high on the giant swing. See some photos below.

Japan Tour

Our Japan Tour have been enjoying themselves thoroughly on their trip, which sees students depart Tokyo this evening, due to arrive at Melbourne Airport bright and early tomorrow morning. I have no doubt there will be many stories to share of their time in such a wondrous country! A few photos below in anticipation of more information and photos from students in next week’s newsletter!

All the best, Cara!

After teaching at Box Hill North Primary School for 10 years, Cara Jeffers is finishing up tomorrow (Friday) to begin a new, very important and exciting job as a mother! We will greatly miss Cara at school and know you will all join us in wishing her farewell (for now) and best wishes for the safe arrival of her precious baby!
