Welcome back to another term. Although a short week, with Easter Monday and ANZAC Day on Friday, it has been just as busy as always, with the Middle School Outdoor Education class already heading off for an adventure this week.
It is with much sadness that I share the news that Rosita Frost, our wonderful school Cafe volunteer, passed away during the holidays.
Rosita has volunteered her time for 4 years and has been of great assistance to Heather. She enjoyed helping in The Cafe very much, and the interactions with students each Wednesday.
Rosita was being treated for Cancer, yet she still made time for us. We have been privileged to enjoy her smile, her kind and caring nature and unfailing, positive attitude.
Our whole school community will miss Rosita and sends our heartfelt condolences to her family.
Next Friday is our House Athletics Sports Day! We look forward to seeing all students at school, as this is a school day. House spirit is always better with more students joining in.
Family members are welcome to come and watch the fun; as we are a Child Safe School please come and sign in at the announcer’s table and say hello!
Even though it is Term 2, and our rituals about being Sunsmart are reduced, with this unseasonably warm weather and high UV levels, we encourage participants to continue to cover up and wear a hat. There will be sunscreen available and students will be asked to put it on throughout the day.
