Library News - Term 2 Update

What a fantastic start we’ve had to Term 2 in the Library! It has been wonderful to see students returning to lessons with such enthusiasm and positivity.

This term, our learning focus is digital literacy, with Stage 2 and 3 students diving into new learning through Minecraft Education—and discovering just how powerful creative problem-solving can be in the digital world.

We’d like to give a big shout-out to 3C, who are currently leading the race for Top Borrowing Class of 2025, with an impressive 314 loans so far! Across the school, students have borrowed a combined 4083 books already this year—what an amazing reading effort from our Edgy readers!

Finally, we couldn’t let this newsletter go by without sharing a magical moment experienced by 5T last week. After reading Possum Magic in their Library lesson, students were surprised to spot what could only be described as Hush and Grandma Poss in real life under the Library COLA! Hush was first sighted resting in the trees near the Library entrance, and small groups of students were invited to visit for a closer look. But the magic didn’t stop there—just moments later, Grandma Poss appeared nearby, and in a heartwarming moment straight out of the book, came down to help Hush safely climb back to the roof, much to the excitement and delight of 5T.

We look forward to seeing even more students borrowing, learning, and discovering throughout the term.

Happy reading, everyone!
