This week I had the pleasure of being involved in our first kinder story time for 2025. We enjoyed reading a big book together followed by mask making and then finishing up with a game. The children that attended did a grand job of concealing their nerves and didn’t appear to want to leave at the end of the session. We are running four of these sessions to provide pre-school children with an opportunity to spend time in the classroom getting to know how it feels. Contact the office if you or someone you know would like to attend any of our other sessions.
Movie Night
On Friday night we have our Under the Stars Movie Night screening The Wild Robot. Thank you to the PFA for putting this family friendly event together. A lot of work has gone into organising the event. There will be a coffee and snack van, buttered popcorn as well as a great atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing you on Friday!
Staffing Update
This week Michelle Lucas shared with 3/4A families that she will be taking up a position at Boronia Heights Primary school commencing May 19th. Whilst we wish her every success at her new school, we are obviously sad to see her move from ENPS. Michelle has contributed enormously to our school in so many ways. She has attended decades of camps and excursions, been an active school council member, team leader and learning specialist on top of being a much-loved and respected classroom teacher. We will miss her very much, but we look forward to seeing her at our Graduation Ceremony later in the year as she has promised to return for this!
We have been very fortunate to be able to replace Michelle with Tamara Pennycook. Tamara is well known to our ENPS community, and we are delighted to be able to welcome her back for the remainder of 2025.
Maths Day
Next Wednesday we are having Maths Day with open hours at 9:15-10:15am and again between 2:15pm-3:15pm. Families are welcome to join classrooms to see learning in action. At 11:10am we will be holding our whole school Maths Day parade. Students are invited to dress up in a Maths themed costume. Some ideas could include dressing up as a number or shape, wearing a costume with patterns or symmetry or as a famous mathematician. If your child plays a sport with a numbered inform this might be an easy way to be able to participate in the dress up fun of the day.
As we approach the weekend, we wish our senior students all the best in their first round of Interschool Sport for 2025 on Friday afternoon. GO ENPS !!
