Awards and Recognition at St Margaret Mary's
At St Margaret Mary’s, we are proud to award and recognise our students' achievements and growth. Each week, teachers select two students from their class to receive a Pillar Award, which is presented during our Friday morning assembly. These awards celebrate a variety of accomplishments, including effort, improvement and achievement across all Key Learning Areas (KLAs), as well as exemplary behaviour and contributions to Catholic service. Specialist teachers also have the opportunity to present Pillar Awards to students who demonstrate notable effort, improvement, achievement or positive behaviour in their specialist subjects.
Our award system is thoughtfully designed to be meaningful and reflective of our Four Pillars, encouraging students to strive toward their personal best within a supportive and respectful environment. It is important to note that not all students receive an award every week or each term; this ensures the recognition remains significant and truly celebrates individual growth and dedication.
We sincerely thank our parent community for the ongoing support and attendance at Friday morning assemblies, it is always humbling to see so many parents encourage and celebrate all of the children at St Margaret Mary's. Together, we create a positive, nurturing environment that empowers our students to flourish.
Pillar awards commence for term two next week the 9 May 2025 and these will be presented in class as the Mother's day liturgy and morning tea is taking place on Friday.
