SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL)

SEL lessons this week will be based around bullying and how to support and respond if children find themselves in this situation. The lesson will also focus on types of bullying, the bystander and how to report it at St Mary’s. Please continue in conversation with your child and reach out to the College should you have any concerns related to this behaviour. YEAR 7 2025 ENROLMENT APPLICATIONS CLOSING SOON!  

Enrolment season is upon us! Any siblings, family or friends looking at attending St Mary’s in Year 7 in 2025, please submit an enrolment application ASAP. We have commenced interviews and look forward to meeting new members of our College community. Applications close Sunday, March 31, only limited spaces are available.

SCHOOL TV

School TV is a new resource for parents accessible through the College website. Family Connect have been able to sponsor this excellent resource that will assist parents in navigating the complex and turbulent time of adolescence. The information and resources is evidenced based from leading psychologists and organisations working with young people. Please use this resource as required and always stay in conversation with the College should you have concerns with your child.

PROJECT COMPASSION 

If you have capacity, please be part of our giving community this Lent by donating to Project Compassion - Caritas. Students will be engaged in fundraising throughout our Lenten season and our initial House Assembly raised $285.

HOUSE CUP COMPETITION

This year, we have relaunched the House Cup Competition to encompass all aspects of the College including sport, arts, academic, and wellbeing activities. Please continue encouraging your child to be part of the wonderful opportunities at St Mary’s and build our House Spirit.
