Our Year 12 boarders looked absolutely stunning for their Formal last Saturday evening held at Brisbane Hilton. We can now settle into study and assessment with the excitement of the Formal behind us.

Students in-house last Saturday evening celebrated Lunar New Year enjoying a beautiful selection of Asian meals prepared by Chartwells and their gift of a Lunar New Year money bag.

On Wednesday evening, we celebrated 'Pal'entine's Day with a gift of chocolate for everyone.

Leave

A reminder that all boarders wishing to go on weekend leave must have their requests in by Wednesday night for parents and hosts to approve on Thursday morning, with final approval completed by Thursday afternoon. 

Afternoon walks to parks and the Term, are still okay to go ahead without prior arrangement of a leave request.

When organising leave for your child, please be advised our Boarding House closes each evening at 10:30pm, with all boarders due back at no later than 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday evening. 

Driving

Our driving commitments are at full capacity this term with two staff driving students to and from various commitments nearly every evening. 

I refer to the Boarding Handbook which states:

The Boarding House does its very best to provide transportation to boarders with extra-curricular activities out of school hours.

Transportation is provided and is limited to:

Student health appointments; 

School co-curricular activities, events and work experience; 

Representative sport, including students who participate in the SHINE Program for their prospective sport, and creative arts, and

Beginning and end of term boarder travel day airport or bus pick-ups and drop offs.

We do not drive students to club sport and out of school activities, personal shopping or beauty appointments.

Every boarder is required to purchase a Go Card for travel on public transport for any recreation activities that boarding transport is not provided.
