Bellarine and Barwon Divisions Swimming Championships

Last Friday 1 March, a small but enthusiastic Swimming Team from North Geelong Secondary College headed down to Kardinia pool to compete in the Geelong Public Schools Championships. Our Team had a diverse range of swimming abilities that were put to the test against some talented swimmers who spend many hours a week training. Thanks to Ms Elkin for managing the team.

 

Results:            

Our two most successful swimmers on the day were Hiraani Anderson and Thomas Airey.

 

Hiraani Anderson - F 13 Yr 

   

  • 3rd - 50m Breastroke 
  • 3rd - 50m Freestyle
  • 2nd - 50m Backstroke

 

 

 

 

 Thomas Airey - M 17 Yr            

  • 6th -100m Freestyle
  • 5th - 50m Freestyle 
  • 3rd - 50m Freestyle Relay
  • 1st - 50m Backstroke

With his win in the backstroke at the Geelong Championships Thomas gets to compete against the best of the Western Metro Zone later in the term.

SPORTS SHACK

Borrowing Times: 12:39pm – 12:50pm

 

On the Borrowing Sheet record the Date, your Name, Home Group and what you borrowed.

 

Return Times: 1:25pm

 

Hand in borrowed equipment and have your name marked off. Any problems with returning equipment need to be explained to the staff at the Sports Shack.

 

Not returning equipment will affect you being allowed to borrow equipment in the future.

 

The Sports Shack is a great addition to the facilities for students, so let’s make sure it runs smoothly.
