We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the continued warmth of summer. The past fortnight has been filled with exciting events and valuable learning opportunities at our school, and we're thrilled to share some highlights with you.

Year 7 BBQ:

We extend our gratitude to all who joined us for the Year 7 BBQ last night. The atmosphere was vibrant, and it was fantastic to see families coming together to foster a sense of community within our school. Your attendance made the event a resounding success, and we hope you already feel like welcome members of the school community.

Swimming Sports:

Our recent Swimming Sports day was nothing short of fantastic! Students of all ages showcased their skills and sportsmanship, making it a memorable day for everyone involved. We want to express our appreciation to each participant for their enthusiasm and to our dedicated house leaders for their invaluable support throughout the event.

Year 12 English Revision Lectures:

Last Friday marked a significant milestone for our Year 12 cohort with Horsham College hosting the annual Year 12 English Revision Lectures. This event provided an exceptional opportunity for our seniors to deepen their understanding of the English curriculum and enhance their critical thinking skills. We commend our Year 12 students for their dedication and active participation.

As always, there are a few reminders that we would appreciate your support with.

Hats and Uniform:

As we move further into the school year, we kindly remind all students of the importance of adhering to our uniform policy. Wearing the correct uniform, including hats for sun protection, is a priority to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.  A specific reminder that only plain white and navy blue long sleeves are to be worn underneath College uniform, and that shoes are to be plain black.

Leaving School

If at any stage, students need to leave school for appointments, we ask that parents/guardians present to the office to meet your child - our duty of care means we need to ensure that we have accurate lists of who is on site in case of emergency. If a student meets a parent/guardian at the car without notifying anybody, we would still believe they are on site.

As always, we encourage open communication and collaboration between home and school. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. As part of this, we rely on SEQTA as our main college communication platform. We ask that all parents/guardians have an account and that this is checked regularly. Please contact the school if you have any issues with this platform.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Shannon, Liam, Louise and Dan
