Shining a light on diverse learning experiences and growth opportunities

Over the course of the past fortnight there has been a number of exciting events for our students across the life of our School.

Our Year 7 students have been at Camp Wyuna in Queenscliff for their four day camp experience, primary and secondary students have represented our school at regional interschool Swimming Carnivals in Wagga Wagga, James Morrison performed for our students and led a workshop for aspiring musicians, and students undertaking our Year 9 - 12 Agriculture and Primary Industries program were involved in showing and judging cattle at the Deniliquin Show.

We also had a number of students representing our school in an Interschool Equestrian Competition at Elmore, primary and secondary parent teacher interviews, and a Be Rare, Be You fundraising event to name just a few examples.

None of these diverse experiences can take place without the dedication, commitment, initiative and enthusiasm of our staff and parent volunteers.

I thank our staff and parent volunteers for all that you do to support the provision of such diverse learning and growth experiences for our students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Behind the scenes this week I have had the pleasure of progressing planning to ascertain the feasibility of reinstating international tour opportunities for our students in 2024. Further information will be provided by Mr Bowles and Mrs Westblade regarding a Habitat for Humanity trip to Cambodia and an Italian Tour over the coming weeks.

In closing, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of the women in our community a happy International Women’s Day. This day is globally celebrated on 8 March annually, and we will be formally celebrating and reflecting upon this day on Wednesday 13 March during our Secondary Assembly.
