2024 Student leaders
It is with great pleasure we announce our 2024 Student Leaders:
On Monday 12th February, the leaders above headed off to the GRIP Conference at the Exhibition Centre in the city. This event provided them with tools to help lead within our school community and set the scene for their work throughout the year. We would like to thank Miss. Lawless and Jonathan for supporting our leaders at the conference.
Later this term we will be announcing our newly introduced student leadership positions and the students that will be undertaking those roles.
Weekly Learning Focus on Class Dojo
This year our teachers will continue to post weekly learning intentions and reminders on Class Dojo. This strategy strengthens our home/ school connection and supports families on having the conversation at home about what has been happening at school. Here is a sample of what has been posted to our Year 2 families recently:
Facilities updates and upgrades
We have lots of works that have and will be happening around the school to upgrade and update our facilities. Some of the works include:
Who to contact when you need support?
Your child’s classroom teacher is the first point of contact if you have any queries. As you are probably already aware the start and the end of the school day are very busy so you may need to make an alternate time to meet your child’s teacher if you need to discuss issues in more detail. If your child's classroom teacher is unable to assist you please contact either Christy Dixon (P-1 Instructional Leader), Rebecca Denyer (2-4 Instructional Leader) or Barb Venuto (5-6 Instructional Leader). If the matter needs to be escalated, it will be escalated to a member of the Principal team.
As always, if you are not sure who to contact, please phone the office and they will put you in contact with who will be able to support you.
Traffic and parking reminder
To ensure the safety of all members of our community it is important that all members of our community adhere to the parking a traffic rules around the school. This includes:
Mobile Phone Policy
Just a reminder to families of the Department and School’s mobile phone policy. This policy also covers smart watches, even when placed in school mode.
