Lawless and Jonathan for supporting our leaders at the conference.

Later this term we will be announcing our newly introduced student leadership positions and the students that will be undertaking those roles.

Weekly Learning Focus on Class Dojo

This year our teachers will continue to post weekly learning intentions and reminders on Class Dojo. This strategy strengthens our home/ school connection and supports families on having the conversation at home about what has been happening at school. Here is a sample of what has been posted to our Year 2 families recently:

Facilities updates and upgrades

We have lots of works that have and will be happening around the school to upgrade and update our facilities. Some of the works include:

  • a shade structure being installed over our outdoor Basketball Court. Works will commence in March and completed over the April school holidays.
  • rooms 1 - 4 being freshly painted over the summer holidays
  • a ramp being installed to provide universal access to our new Performing Arts room
  • new tables and chairs for our Grade Prep and Grade 2 classrooms
  • new carpet and flooring installed in Rooms 1-4 over the upcoming holidays

Who to contact when you need support?

Your child’s classroom teacher is the first point of contact if you have any queries. As you are probably already aware the start and the end of the school day are very busy so you may need to make an alternate time to meet your child’s teacher if you need to discuss issues in more detail. If your child's classroom teacher is unable to assist you please contact either Christy Dixon (P-1 Instructional Leader), Rebecca Denyer (2-4 Instructional Leader) or Barb Venuto (5-6 Instructional Leader). If the matter needs to be escalated, it will be escalated to a member of the Principal team.

As always, if you are not sure who to contact, please phone the office and they will put you in contact with who will be able to support you.

Traffic and parking reminder

To ensure the safety of all members of our community it is important that all members of our community adhere to the parking a traffic rules around the school. This includes:

  • using one of the three crossings around the school when crossing the road.
  • adhering the the 40km speed limit when driving.
  • using the parking bays to park your vehicle and have your child/ren safely exit.
  • NOT allowing children to get out of vehicles when stopped at the crossing.
  • respecting other drivers and the flow of traffic.
  • respecting our neighbours by not blocking their driveways at pick up and drop off time.
