A Mother's Day Poem

A Heart for Everything

A gentle hand, a golden light

making everything feel just right.

A shoulder there to lean upon,

From morning to night, it's never gone.

A teacher to a friend,

Her love will never end.

She carries away worries and fights the pain,

She chases away the pouring rain.

For all the things she has done,

beneath the shining sun.

A heart for everything, the joys and the tears.

Teaching and helping through all the years.

A guiding force field, a steady hand,

The best blessings in every land.

For everything you are and do,

I thank you mum, I really love you.

TERM 1 Classroom Highlights

3/4N - Key Learning Areas

It has been wonderful welcoming students back to school as they settle into classroom routines. 3/4N has begun amazing learning across all Key Learning Areas.

In Writing, students have been using their creativity to plan their own narrative stories. They focused on writing a story using a clear orientation, complication and resolution.

In Maths, students have been practising skip counting to build our confidence in multiplication.

In Music, students are learning to play the glockenspiel and exploring pitch and rhythm through singing the song Day-o (The Banana Boat song).

1/2L - Intergrated Learning

Students have been engaging in an integrated learning program across Science, English and Creative Arts focused on living things. They have been investigating how plants grow by planting sunflower and snow pea seeds in a greenhouse and observing the changes over time. Students have recorded their observations in a plant journal, using descriptive language to document growth, appearance and stages of development. As their seeds germinated, they carefully transplanted the seedlings into the school garden, deepening their understanding of plant care and life cycles. In Creative Arts, students expressed their learning by creating sunflower artworks, connecting their scientific knowledge with creative expression.
