Home Reading
Thanks to everyone who has jumped on board with Home Reading which has started this term. Don't forget to read with your child for ten minutes each night and sign off on the yellow reading log. Even a few minutes a day makes a difference in helping your child to become a better reader!
Learning Conversations
We loved seeing all our families join us for Learning Conversations at the end of last term. We hope you enjoyed seeing your children's learning progress and goals, and we look forward to seeing you there at the next Learning Conversations day in Term 3. As always, if you would like to meet with any of your child's teachers throughout the year, please get in contact and we can help you to set up a time that suits.
Star of the Week
Congratulations to our Term 2 Week 1 Star of the Week recipients.
Competitive Swimming
Congratulations to Tanwa Ruangyuth! He represented Bonnyrigg Public School at the NSW Primary Sports Association and the Sydney South West School Sport carnivals in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke for the 12 year old boys category.
PSSA Soccer
The Bonnyrigg Public School boys PSSA soccer teams have been showing outstanding effort and determination this season. The senior team remains undefeated, winning all 8 of their games so far—a fantastic achievement that reflects their skill, consistency and teamwork. The junior team has also had a strong season, recording 4 wins, 3 draws and just 1 loss.
Across both teams, the boys have demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, supporting one another and playing with respect and enthusiasm each week. It’s clear that their dedication—especially those lunchtime soccer games—has truly paid off!
Island Warriors
Our Island Warriors dance group have been given the opportunity to perform at a community event in Liverpool in week 8. The dancers are very excited to be part of a big event in our Pacific Island community, and we hope you can all come along to support the dancers and enjoy the show. More details to come over the next few weeks.
If your child is part of this dance group, please continue to support them through their attendance. Having the students at school every day has made a huge difference with practices.
Premier's Reading Challenge
The 2026 Premier Reading Challenge has commenced.
Students and/or parents remember to enter the books online at the PRC Website using your child's DET username and password.
If you need assistance you can come to the library at lunchtime Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and see Ms Agius or Mrs Wells or the library monitors.
