Opening of Cumbo Gunerah Gallery and Keeping Place
On 23rd April, our school and community were invited by the Red Chief Lands Council to celebrate the opening of the Cumbo Gunerah Gallery and Keeping Place. The Keeping Place is a safe and respectful space where important Aboriginal artefacts, stories, and cultural knowledge can be protected and shared with future generations. Students enjoyed hands-on activities including storytelling, craft activities, workshops, and learning on Country. These experiences helped students build a deeper understanding of culture and connection to land. Led by the Red Chief Lands Council and Galuma-li Dhawun Rangers, the day strengthened community connections and celebrated First Nations culture with pride and respect.
