From the Principal

Welcome Back
What a fantastic start to the term we have seen! Students have returned refreshed and ready to go for what is set to be a huge and exciting term ahead.
With an action‑packed Term 2 calendar, I cannot emphasise enough the importance for both students and families to remain organised and familiar with our Term Planner.
Notable upcoming events include the intrepid Northwest Tour (NWT) and Country Week, alongside a range of exciting activities scheduled throughout the term. We strongly encourage students to engage in extra‑curricular opportunities; however, this also brings an obligation and personal responsibility to manage their workload, liaise with staff regarding any absences that may require follow‑up, and generally remain well prepared.
I am personally very much looking forward to participating in both NWT and Country Week!
ANZAC Ceremony
I would like to commend our students for the immense respect they demonstrated at both the Cunderdin and College ANZAC ceremonies. Lest we forget.
Student Academic Progress Updates – Parent and Student Feedback
I have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the P&C, College Board, and Student Council regarding this year’s academic progress updates, including task mark reports following each class assessment and mid-term progress updates for each subject sent out via Compass.
These processes support our ongoing commitment to developing independent, self-directed learners. We also value the important role families play in “keeping an eye” on their child’s progress and overall engagement, and we appreciate that this correspondence helps us work together to best support all students.
Puffer Vests
I would like to acknowledge our fantastic P&C for their continued support and fundraising initiatives. The (now endorsed as College Uniform) puffer vests are a massive hit with students, staff and wider community members. The P&C are taking another round of orders (click here). Thank you to all of the families that have supported these great initiatives.
Quality Teaching Strategy Partnerships Initiative
I am pleased to inform you that we have been accepted into the 2026 Quality Teaching Strategy Partnerships Initiative where we will be partnered up with John Curtin College of the Arts.
This is a fantastic opportunity for us to learn best-practice teaching and learning from another ‘bespoke’ select entry college like John Curtain, which is also an RTO school and delivers specialised programs. With funding attached to support professional learning and coaching, we are excited to be a part of this program and maintain our pursuit for teaching excellence.
