Harmony Day🌏🧡

On Monday the 23rd of March, our school proudly celebrated Harmony Day - a day dedicated to recognising and celebrating the rich cultural diversity that makes our community so special. With the theme of inclusivity, respect and belonging, students and staff came together to embrace what it means to live in harmony with one another.
Throughout the day, students were involved in a range of engaging and creative activities. These included origami, where students explored traditional paper-folding techniques from Japanese culture, and flag colouring, which gave everyone the opportunity to learn about and represent countries from around the world. Another highlight was the hand drawing activity, where students decorated handprints to symbolise unity, diversity and connection across cultures.
A standout feature of the day was the vibrant display of colour across the school. Many students and staff dressed in orange, the official colour of Harmony Day, as well as in cultural clothing that reflected their heritage. This created a powerful visual reminder of the diversity within our school and the pride students have in their backgrounds.
Harmony Day is an important opportunity to reinforce the values of respect, inclusion and understanding. It reminds us that while we may come from different cultural backgrounds, we all belong to the same community. Events like this help foster a positive school environment where everyone feels seen, valued and respected.
Thank you to all students and staff who participated and contributed to making the day such a success. Together, we continue to build a school culture grounded in curiosity, compassion and community.
