Around the College
REMEMBRANCE DAY
We remember with thanksgiving those who made the supreme sacrifice for us in time or war. We pray that the offering of their lives may not have been in vain.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
St Anne’s College has paid its respects this Remembrance Day by participating in the following events:
ITALIAN REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE
On Sunday, Italian Learning Mentor Christian Steri and Year 12 student Charli attended the Italian Remembrance Day Service in Murchison to lay a wreath and pay their respects on behalf of St Anne’s College.
This is an important Italian community event held in November each year with participants from across Australia, including VIP guests such as the Italian Consul General for Victoria and Tasmania, politicians, representatives from local government and major Italian community groups.
REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE BY ST ANNE’S COLLEGE STUDENTS
Students in Years 3-12 attended a special service at the College today to acknowledge and pay their respects to those who have served for our country and sacrificed their lives for us. The service included an Acknowledgement of Country by House Captain Jayda who also reflected on the huge Indigenous contribution during times of war and paid respects to the First Nations people who sacrificed their lives.
This was followed by the Prayer for Peace by Pope Francis and Prayers of the Faithful which were read by students. A minute silence was held and reflective videos were played. Year 9 student Taj concluded the service with reading the poem In Flanders Fields by John McCrae.
SHEPPARTON REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE
Newly appointed College Captains Liliana and Alick attended the Shepparton Cenotaph along with Principal Anthony Butts and LSO Leader Leesa Shannon to participate in laying a wreath during the Shepparton Remembrance Day Service today. It was the first community engagement the Captains have completed since the were announced as the 2025 College Captains.
A huge thank you to all of the students who represented our College and played a role in commemorating Remembrance Day with the utmost respect and gratitude.
Lest We Forget.

Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd. Advertising Campaign
We were delighted to be chosen to participate in CESL's advertising campaign recently. It was a big morning of filming and photography for the students who participated - a huge thank you to these students! We recently received the images taken as part of the campaign and we are so excited to be able to share them with you. Keep an eye out for our superstars on the television and on social media in the future!
Keeping our plants hydrated
St Anne's College is filled with beautiful plant life and thanks to student Nicholas and LSO Jake.
The pair journeyed around the College recently ensuring all of the plants were adequately watered.
Plants are just one of the many aspects of the College's design that create a homely feel for students, ensuring they feel nurtured in our spaces, which in turn creates positive outcomes for our students and their learning.
