PEBentley NFor the incredible effort that you put into your writing. Learning your high frequency words, stretching out the sounds to spell new words, always remembering your punctuation and including detail to make your writing interesting. Bentley, you are a Prep E superstar!
1ALeo IFor his fantastic efforts in reading this week, especially in his guided reading group. You showed great enthusiasm and effort when determining the importance and retelling facts about unique animals in coral reefs. Keep up the great effort, Leo!

2BSaoirse MFor applying herself so wonderfully in all class tasks and making such growth in Maths! I’m so proud of Saoirse, she has come so far these last two years and on top of all her curriculum improvement, she is a wonderfully sweet student.  
2CJack DFor his wonderful work in our Maths ‘chance’ lesson. Jack, you were hypothesising potential outcomes, and discussing your findings beautifully. You also confidently summarised the concept of ‘even chance’ and ‘luck’ at the end of our lesson. Keep up the great work!

You have proven this by being 4B’s inferring champion and the only one to solve who the character really was, by being organised with your learning and keeping your desk tidy as well as engaging in all our mini lessons. Keep up the great job Noah, you are a super star!
4CPhoebe HFor the effort and concentration she put into her first SMART words session of Term 4. Phoebe worked incredibly hard during our teacher group, listening carefully to the explanations of words and making a number of key contributions. Phoebe, you have been a true role model for others - keep it up!
4DMatias SFor demonstrating respectful behaviors, seeking support when stuck for ideas in writing, and consistently providing well thought out responses during class discussions. Matias, you have shown a commendable level of engagement and dedication to your learning this week, keep up the amazing work buddy!

3 on 3 Ice Hockey Tournament

Over the holidays, Tommy Vulic from 4B travelled to Coffs Harbour in NSW and competed in a 3 on 3 ice hockey tournament. 

Tommy and his team, the Docklands Ice Wolves, won the Under 9 Gold medal and the Under 11 Bronze medal.

Tommy was an important goal scorer for the 5 day tournament. Congrats Tommy! 

 

Basketball Victoria - Jamboree

Over the school holidays, both Asha and Hazel from 5D were 2 of 80 girls selected by Basketball Victoria to participate in the Jamboree (tournament) and in the Future Development Program for 2024/2025.

This is an amazing achievement given over 300 girls trialled.

 

Pacific Cup Champions!! Go Australia 🇦🇺   

Asha and Marlie from Year 5 represented Australia at the Pacific Cup in the school holidays. An amazing achievement to be selected and they won! 

 

 

The Wembley community are very proud of the achievements of Asha, Hazel, Marlie and Tommy.
