Great Western Regional Track and Field Championships
On Friday, October 11th, our school proudly sent six talented athletes to compete in the Greater Western Region Track and Field Championships, showcasing not only their impressive skills but also embodying our school values of respect, kindness, perseverance, and inclusion throughout the day.
Athlete Highlights:
* Bella Goudy excelled in the discus, finishing 5th with a personal best throw of 17 meters. Her positive attitude and support of others was fantastic to see.
* Olive Coat-Kibeiks competed in the high jump, securing 10th and showing great determination.
* Felix Long took on the 80m hurdles, finishing 12th. His determination and sportsmanship shone through as he faced some of the region's best.
* Oscar Dart delivered a remarkable performance in the discus, claiming 3rd place with a throw of 20.89 meters. His focus and skill were evident as he competed at a high level.
* Chayce Grinter ran a strong race in the 800m, finishing 10th. Showing perseverance in the face of some very tough competitors.
* Danny Jonah stood out in the 200m, finishing 3rd after winning his heat. His dedication to training and improvement was evident on the day.
