2024 PFA PROGRAM UPDATE

Thank you to the parents who met on the 16th for our  PFA group meeting; it was a fruitful chat. Here is the summary of the minutes:

DISCO, 1st November

The disco plans are confirmed, with student wearing free dress on Friday.

Help is needed on the 31st for set up and 1st November to help facilitate.

Sustainable Schools

A report has been submitted for a Sustainable Schools grant, focused on a specific area of the school. Results to be announced. Thank you, Seth!

Working Bee

Plans are underway for this term’s Family Working Bee. Watch this space!

LOST PROPERTY has been sorted!

This was a big job, and to reduce the pile that has accumulated over the past year, after multiple call-outs, clothing without a name has been donated to either goodwill (for unbranded items) or to the ENPS Second Hand stall (for branded items). Please label your items well; lost pieces of uniform are an issue at ENPS. We understand it is hard for working parents to get to school to find lost uniforms, so we encourage you to reach out to your fellow parents, to your class representatives, to your teachers or to the PFA for support.

The next Second Hand Uniform Shop will be on Tuesday 19th November.

SURVEY has been developed by the PFA to better understand ENPS family opinion on volunteer involvement at the school, e.g. working bees, also regarding Mothers and Fathers Day stalls, 2026 and recurrent events, social events, financial contributions, and where we want fundraised money to go.

Please use the COMPASS LINK sent recently and add you voice!

Colour Fun Run

While there is still enthusiasm for a ‘Color Fun Run’ it won’t be feasible this year, however there is potential to combine it with the walkathon in 2025—details are to be determined. PFA members will lead this effort.

Healesville Family Camping Trip

This event has previously been run by a volunteer family who are graduating this year, and the reins need to be handed on. This is a simple-to-organise event, with the previous organisers happy to do a full handover. If you think you can help, please get in touch. Questions and queries about supporting this event are welcome.

Grade 6 graduation will be held on the evening of December 16th, and we are reviving the tradition of Grade 5 parents helping out. We're looking for about 12 parent volunteers from the Grade 5 cohort to assist from 6pm for a few hours at Eltham High School. Helpers will serve food and assist with simple tasks. If you can help, contact the PFA or your class rep.

If you would like to help or volunteer time for any upcoming events, please let us know via email elthamnorthprimarypfa@gmail.com  or you can join a Sign Up or WhatsApp working group.
