Mandarin

This term, the Prep, Year One and Two students have been learning Mandarin vocabulary and phrases related to family member. They sang a Chinese song about ‘I love my family members’ with gestures and drew out their own family trees in Mandarin. Below are some family trees produced by the preps.

 

Year Three and Four students explored a popular Chinese idiom ‘horse, horse, tiger, tiger’

They also learned how to express some uncomfortable feelings in Mandarin including, I’m very tired, I’m really annoyed, I’m sick andI’m quite hurt. Attached some emojis the students designed.
