Twilight Concert 2024

The Twilight Concert is now confirmed to take place on 2 December 2024.

This was the reserve date in the 2024 Music Calendar but has now become the official date that the event will be taking place. This is to ensure the concert can comfortably take place regardless of weather, as well as avoiding a clash with a major Volleyball event occurring on 25 November.

December 2 is a student-free day for the school, but the Twilight Concerts will still be taking place in the evenings.

Further detailed information will be communicated to students in the coming weeks, but please confirm this in your diaries for the Twilight Concert performance date.

Instrumental Music Program Intention 2025

We are now finalising the plans for 2025, and part of this includes confirm of current students that will continue in the following year.

For some insight into the things we are planning, please follow this link to the current DRAFT 2025 Instrumental Music Calendar: Link to 2025 Music Calendar

There is also an EHS Instrumental Music Handbook in the resources of the compass event described below which will give you more insight into the intentions and opportunities for the students in the program.

There will be an incremental increase in the music fees for 2025 to cover the increase in costs associated with running the program. You will be notified of the 2025 music fees before the end of 2024. The music budget and fees are currently being approved by the Finance Committee and that is why we cannot provide them to you at this time.

All 2024 Instrumental Music fees are now overdue and must be paid in full for your child to be able to enrol in the 2025 music program.

The Instrumental Music Program fees create the budget for the Music Program to be able to run each year. The budget is calculated on each individual enrolment. All families need to pay their music fees to ensure we can meet the budget.

All the various events throughout the year, which includes weekly Instrumental Lessons, Ensemble Rehearsals, Music Camp etc are run in the most cost-effective way for all involved.

All fees paid for the Music Program go directly to paying the following:

  • Employing Instrumental Teachers and Ensemble Directors
  • Purchasing of Hire Instruments for our students
  • Servicing and maintenance of Hire Instruments
  • Music and other resources provided to students
  • Costs to run events: ie. Buses, Music Camp, participation fees for festivals etc.

As the Eltham High School Music Program is a self-funded program, all fees are to be paid by the due dates. If a student withdraws from the Music Program at any time during the year, full yearly fees are payable.

If you currently have a payment plan in place, please note it is required to be completed by the end of 2024. Payment plans do not roll over from one year to the next and need to be formalised with the Finance Department each year.

Please ensure you have paid the $100.00 non-refundable deposit, completed the Google form or returned a hard copy form to the General Office or Music Office by no later than Wednesday 13 November 2024.

The form can be accessed here: https://forms.gle/CDjkHgWe5CXmBJVq7
