What's Up, Upper Primary?

Grade 6 Bee Kind

This term, our Grade 6 students are reading the novel Wonder, which explores important themes like friendship, empathy, and—most importantly—kindness. With that in mind, our theme for Term 4 is "BEE Kind." Our class of busy bees is hard at work, spreading kindness as we wrap up our final term of Primary school!

Grade 6 Transition

To support our Grade 6 students in their transition to Secondary school, they are participating in a specialised Grade Six Support Program led by Kingston Youth Services.

The program includes four key sessions: tips for navigating secondary school, conflict resolution, online safety and respect, and a Q&A session. Through these sessions, students are gaining valuable skills to help them prepare for the next stage of their education.

Grade 5 and 6 Smoothie Boss Incursion

As part of our Integrated Studies unit on Economics and Business, the Grade 5 and 6 students participated in an exciting "Smoothie Boss" incursion. During this hands-on experience, students explored innovation, product development, pitch preparation, and entrepreneurship. They were given the opportunity to create their own smoothie, present their ideas to teachers and peers, and even taste their creations!
