Last week Marie from Bunnings worked with 3/4C to create our garden program worm farm, which was all donated by Bunnings Vermont South. Students learned how to care for the worms and how they will benefit us in the garden.

Students in 5/6 are focusing on states of matter. They enjoyed learning more about gases during our glove experiment.

French

We all had lots of fun on French Cultural Day! This year's theme was 'French Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses'. It was fantastic to see most students wearing the French colours. Some of the costumes were fantastic!!

The students made delicious 'quatre-quarts' in their Masterchef class:

They drew amazing portraits of King Louis XIV and Queen Marie-Antoinette. I selected 12 of the most creative ones and prepared them in my iPad so they can be exhibited in the corridor. We now have our own little Louvre museum!

They also played a funny interpretation of the game 'Ship to Shore'. Instead of being on a ship, they were at the Court of Versailles and had to serve their King, louis XIV, and Queen, Marie-Antoinette. If you didn't perform the French commands well enough, you could be sent on a horse to deliver a message to the King...
