Welcome to our final term for the year. The students have enjoyed a great beginning to the term meeting up with their friends and teachers, sharing their holiday news and establishing their learning routines for the term ahead.
It is remarkable to think how quickly the year has flown by, and here we are, gearing up for the last stretch. This term promises to be a busy one, and I encourage you to regularly check the Compass Calendar to stay aware of the many events that are coming up during the term.
Term 4 Curriculum Overviews will be shared with parents this Friday via Compass. This document outlines the learning focus of each Key Learning Area and exciting events your child will be engaged in throughout the term. The overview also includes your child’s sport and library days.
Our StMM’s Curriculum Overviews are a useful reference to keep somewhere prominent so that you can refer to it with your child and discuss their learning throughout the term.
Schools are very complex places with thousands of interactions occurring weekly! It is important for everyone in our community to be aware of the structures in place at St Margaret Mary’s that enable effective communication.
If you have any questions or concerns relating to your child’s learning or wellbeing, we ask parents to contact the office via phone or email to make an appointment with your child’s teacher. The class teacher is your first point of call. After meeting with your child’s teacher, if you wish to further discuss any concerns with regards to your child’s learning or wellbeing, please contact the school office who will then direct your enquiry to a member of the School Leadership Team:
Principal: Ms Carlo-Stella
Assistant Principal: Mrs Borg
Kindergarten Coordinator: Mrs Borg
Year 1 Coordinator: Ms Antonucci
Year 2 Coordinator: Mrs Yanz
Year 3 Coordinator: Mrs Kubti
Year 4 Coordinator: Mrs Attard
Year 5 Coordinator: Mr Manuick
Year 6 Coordinator: Mrs James
For general enquiries, school communication, enrolments, medication and/or school fee questions, please contact the school office to speak with our wonderful Office Staff.
As the weather warms up please ensure that your child brings their school hat to school EVERY DAY.
School hats can be purchased through the school office if your child has lost or does not have a hat. Please ensure your child’s name is clearly visible on their hat as we have a number of lost hats in our lost property basket.
We ask parents to ensure their child’s hair is done in a way so that their hat can be worn properly when they are playing to avoid it falling off or being uncomfortable to wear.
We thank you for your continued support in helping us to convey the correct sun safety message to our children.
Thank you to all families who continue to support the school and their child’s education by ensuring that their child attends every possible day at school. Regular attendance at school is essential for progress.
When students are not at school or are constantly late to school, they are missing out on so much. Without the knowledge, the skills or the support that schools are so good at providing, young people can get left behind and find themselves underprepared for a fast-paced and often very challenging world.
If your child is ill and away from school, please contact the school office, as a note explaining all absences is required.
Thank you for your continued support. Together we can achieve more.
God Bless
Rochelle Borg
